Phil joined us in 2021 and made an immediate impact by making the club championship final. He's going from strength to strength and is looking forward to being a skip for the club in his next match.

Name: Andy Barker
Years: 2013-Present
Andy has been a member of the club for 10 years now and was our club champion in 2018. A shoulder injury has kept him out of competitive play for most of the time since, but he still plays roll ups with his left arm and he's always fun to play against.

Name: Malcolm Bell
Years: ?-Present
Malcolm is a real club legend holding our record for the most club championships with 5. The span is the most impressive thing about this. He first won it in 1987 and last won in 2019! Still one of our top players and a regular skip for our teams.

Name: Brian Bullock
Years: ?-Present
Brian has been a member of our club for a long time and he was our club champion back in 2000. Still one of our top players today, he's also served on our committee for many years in various roles.

Bob is our current president and he plays regularly in our afternoon teams.

Name: Malcolm Dilley

Malcolm is our club secretary and a regular player in our afternoon teams. Malcolm also like playing bridge and is one of the leading players in Redcar bridge club.

Joe has missed most of the 2023 season due to illness, but he's full of enthusiasm and we look forward to seeing him back soon.

Years: 2021-Present
Mick is a great recent addition to our club who is always full of fun and enthusiasm. Mick is popular with the kids and teachers when we have schools to visit and he has twice been the winning coach on our primary school mornings!

Name: Les Harrison

Les is our current club champion and undoubtedly the best player in the club at the moment. He wins a lot of our internal competitions and he was the 2022 North Yorkshire Bowls League Champion. The first player in our club's history to win this prestigious title!

Mark is our Wednesday afternoon triples captain and a great recent addition to our club. He takes part in everything and is always happy to help out other teams when they need an extra player and other players with marking games.

Judd is our oldest member and a 4 times club champion from 1995-2002.

Name: Jack McGregor

Jack has been a member of the club for well over a decade now and he is one of the clubs real characters! He's a former para and is one of the main club members who looks after our green.

Jon is a real stalwart of the club who will play for any of our teams when needed. Sometimes in both the afternoon and evening of the same day!

Name: Martin Smith
Years: 2015-Present
Martin has been a top contender for internal honours since he joined the club in 2015. He was our club champion in 2016 and has won the Alf Bayles singles competition 4 times. Martin is always seeking perfection and often criticises his own performances even when anyone else would be extremely happy with the way he's playing!

Years: 2013-Present
Chris has been a member of the club for 10 years now and plays regularly in our evening league teams. Chris is also a keen chess player and plays for Thornaby Chess Club.

Name: Charlie Tighe

Charlie has been a regular at our club for well over a decade now and he's always amongst the favourites for any of our internal competitions. He still runs his own QA Weld Tech business and as well as bowls, he is also an active golf player.
